_{Well when I first heard that line, I was reminded how as an adolescent, whenever I had romantic daydreams, the recurring theme was always some random stranger having an unrealistic admiration for me and it'd always be in the guy's perspective too, so there's an example of narcissism there. You want someone to fall in love with you just so you can love yourself more and junk.}

On the other hand, as well, since both of these Hinata's are quite opposite in personality -- narcissism or not -- crack pairing-wise, they could admire each other for having certain traits the other does not, and already that aspect is played out with Hinata being in love with Naruto.
